How Do I Create an Avatar for Blogging?
Monday, May 18th, 2009There are a couple of ways to create an avatar that can be used in WordPress blogs but remember, the blog site administrator controls whether or not avatars will be displayed with comments. So, even if you have an avatar, it may not show up if the site is not setup to display avatars.
One of my favorite methods for getting my avatar up on a blog with my comments is to create a gravatar (globally recognized avatar) at http://en.gravatar.com/. Getting a gravatar.com accounts is free and since it it is associated with an email address, it works on blog sites that have impleted the gravatar plug-in and where I have registered with the same email address.
