More changes

Monday, December 8th, 2008

Obama  has chosen former Federal Reserve Chairman Paul Volcker to head a new White House panel.  Obama believes he will help create jobs and bring stability to the ailing financial system.  So many changes are being made in our government.  We have yet to see all of the changes President-elect Obama makes in our government and in our country.  In time we will see if the changes are for the better of our country or not.  All we can do now is hope for the best.

Obama Appoints Richardson

Wednesday, December 3rd, 2008

Barack Obama appointed Bill Richardson, governor of New Mexico, to be the commerce secretary.  Along with being the governor of New Mexico, Richardson was the United Nations ambassador and energy secretary durning Bill Clinton’s administration.  He is serving his second term as governor of New Mexico.  He has also served seven terms in the House of Representatives and two tours of duty in the cabinet.  He has a very extensive record and has led Americans for a very long time so he should be able to handle his new position well.

New Secretary of State

Monday, December 1st, 2008

President elect Obama announced that Hillary Clinton will be the new Secretary of State under President Obama.  He plans on leaving the Secretary of Defense the same as would President Bush has.  Robert Gates will remain Secretary of Defense.  It is crazy that Obama is not in office yet and still making some changes.  Apparently the stock market has even gone up since Obama was elected since he tried to boost confidence into investors.  We still have to wait and see the many more changes Obama makes in this country.
