I worked on the normal map with a new model and finally got someting working..I used Zbrush to sculpt. Here’s the non mapped model.

Here’s a turntble for a new updated F14 model. I have fixed most of the modelling glitches and used a bump map.
After making a worthless effort in maya for hours, I realized that my rig wasnt working, so I spent almost equal amount of time rigging in max. I used the biped and physique modifiers in max to get this walk cycle. But even that effort is in vein as I could not import the animation back into Maya. So right now I am back at the beginning….

This is the corrected Version. I fixed the sliding problem. The position of his backfoot doesnt change now. I could not do it before as I was on vacation in New England. It took longer than expected and I could not return before yesterday. Here’s the link.
