I am one who has made her very best friends at work and one who has suffered the worst betrayals also at work. I know that there are corporate situations that remain very impersonal. This is not an environment that I fit into very well. I have to have some personal elemant/connection to work at my best. That said, having friends at work is essential but difficult at times. Add "lover" to the mix and you have an immensely more complicated and risky situation. Never take that chance unless you can change jobs if things get messy.
