Summer Stipend Program

Open to Texas A&M University Faculty including TTI,  TAES, and TEES, the Limited Submission Proposal for the Naitonal Endowment for the Humanities Summer Stipends Program provides funds to individuals that are conducting research that contributes to the public’c understanding of the humanities.  The stipends will provide recipients with $6,000 for two full months of writing and research. 

Internal proposals are due by July 7th, 2008, and should be submitted electronically to osppc@tamu.edu.  Further details about the stipend can be found by clicking here.

Scholarships for Graduate Students in “Mission-Critical” Areas

Sponsored by Representatives Price (D-NC) and Shays (R-CI), the Roosevelt Scholars Act proposes the creation of scholarships for graduate students that are working in “mission-critical” related fields.  The proposed scholarships would pay for a student’s tuition and living expenses for five years of graduate studies, up to $60,000.  Students that receive the scholarship would be required to complete a federal internship and also serve as “ambassadors for federal service” on their campuses.

IAEM Scholarship Announced

The International Association of Emergency Managers is accepting applications for their annual scholarship program.  The scholarship is open to any full time student pursuing an associate, baccalaureate, or graduate degree in emergency management, or a closely related field of study.

Dissertation Fellowships in Hazards, Risk and Disasters

Application for 2007-2008 NDSEG Fellowships now available

The Department of Defense supports about 8,000 graduate students each year in those fields that are considered critical to our national defense.
