Scholarships for Graduate Students in “Mission-Critical” Areas

Sponsored by Representatives Price (D-NC) and Shays (R-CI), the Roosevelt Scholars Act proposes the creation of scholarships for graduate students that are working in “mission-critical” related fields.  The proposed scholarships would pay for a student’s tuition and living expenses for five years of graduate studies, up to $60,000.  Students that receive the scholarship would be required to complete a federal internship and also serve as “ambassadors for federal service” on their campuses.
