Dr. Garry Adams appointed to NRC Biodefense committee

Dr. Garry Adams, a member of our homeland security Interim Steering Committee, was recently appointed to the National Research Council’s Biodefense Standing Committee for the Department of Defense. His role will be to focus on biothreats and the creation of new and novel defense mechanisms. He is also the new associate dean for homeland security with the Texas A&M University College of Veterinary Medicine and Biomedical Sciences, the first position dedicated to homeland security housed within a veterinary school.
