Here are the final renderings. I just threw on some quick VRay textures and proxy’d some old buildings from a previous personal project. Enjoy.

simply suoooooooooper! Did you also model the backgrounds? or is that a static image? It looks brilliant! Just one bit, i think the windows could use a little work, cos it kinda looks artificial, esp. when everything else is photorealistic..

What? No interior shots?!? Looks really good, guessing you stuck to polys. You really got most of the major details down, and the material looks great. Don’t much car for the inner garage shot, the windows are doing something funky. Overall nice work.

Wow, that’s impressive work! My one and only complaint, having flipped through many issues of Motor Trend, is that the front wheels are turned to show off the kickin’ rims. (not a real complaint, by the way) Great job!

That was supposed to say: “aren’t turned…”
Sorry for the double post. :)

Excellent what they said. Also, the shadows on the top two images look kind of weird with the bump for the ground. It almost looks like the pixelated final gathering in the render window before it’s completed (do you know what I mean?). I think the bottom image should be the top image–it has a great angle and composition!

Did you use just polys or did you finish out your NURBS car too? A few of those final renders have kinda funky shadows and reflections, but I like the first and last ones the best. The 2nd one looks the strangest… like it’s hovering? I don’t know, usually when the main light is in the same direction as the camera it can lead to some strangeness.

Only further suggestion is: I can’t really tell if you used 3-point lighting, it looks like you did global lighting of some sort. I would try setting up a shot using good 3-point lighting. Look at Garrett’s gnome head to see an awesome example of how lighting can make all the difference in making something look realistic.

Very nice model =) You’re great at doing cars.

Amazing work - my favorite has to be render09.jpg. The shadows in 11 and 12 feel a bit too grainy for me. Maybe it’s cause I’m on a CRT monitor but I think it would be more like 09. Excellent model!

Always trying to show me up! Amazing work, Chris. The only thing that looks slightly off is the seam between the headlights and the hood - its a little sharp and flat. Otherwise everything is great.
