The insect black lighting on Friday eve needs to be added to the program & action list. Marian will be meeting Ed around dusk on Friday night for blacklighting and the public is welcome at that event.
On Saturday, Jackie will be bringing her insect collection for KidBlitz. Ed may be bringing pinned insects with him, some live ones in petri dishes and a poster. Marian will be bringing live insects collected from a different location prior to the event. The team may want to think about whether you want to bring out an additional folding table for the insect booth. Only one will be provided with the tent.
On Sat, Marian and Jackie will be there for the Q & A session (11 am) at the speakers tent and Nature Walk at 11:30am. We are hoping Ed will join in on this panel talk session since he is curator of the entomology collection and has collected for many years at Lick Creek.

Just so ya’ll know, my plan is to be very low-key, talking more about how, when, and where I caught individuals in my collection (begun at age 9 in Panama–I’m now 50 +!). No doubt the question will arise (probably multiple times) of why the insects are so much larger in Central America.
BTW, I saw a beautiful luna moth at Lick Creek Easter weekend.

Ryan has a draft of the invert list, although we seem to be missing the list that Marian emailed me after BioBlitz 2008. I’ll keep looking for it. we are hoping Jacki will agree to do the Invert Talk again.

Jane,
Ed will be out of town, but has made arrangements for both days–supplies and folks. We will need a table by the black light on Friday night. I gave Ryan a printout of the 2008 invert list, plus sent him the excel file when he brought the herp bin to Gus several weeks ago.
