Michael emailed Katie, and she is going over the list with the Fish Team Thursday eve. Scott D. stopped by and we talked about the permitting technicalities. He has the phone number for the game warden,to check in with him and let him know how the activities at BioBlitz fit in with the ongoing research about fish sampled from Lick Creek. We want to be in compliance with the law, and to be able to educate others about why we need fishing licenses and permits for scientific collections.

For the fish surveys, we will be using a backpack electrofisher, seins, cast nets, and rod and reel. I will make sure to contact the game warden this week to see if there are any problems with electrofishing. Our lab has the necessary permits, but if there are problems we will sample only with the other three methods.
Caleb and Dwight will be the fish team co-leaders for 2009. Dwight has the long term knowledge and Caleb has participated in local surveys. Ryan has the fish list from last year and will be updating it for 2009.
Katie is really busy organizing EIS this year, so will not be as available as last year.
