Focused Leader

What is the drive that push’s a woman’s to the top if it what she desires? Is it the adrenaline of competition in a male dominated force or is it more? Nancy Pelosi sets an example for young ambitious females today, her drive consist of changing human rights and not necessarily that in which the media focus on, she is the first women to hold Speaking of the House of Representatives in the US government. With five children a happy marriage and a job that keeps her at her desk more or less 50 hrs a week and traveling, Nancy keeps her focus. Regardless of the media and other outside sources her position in government is only important to her because the opportunities she is given to make a difference, not that she is defined by her gender. Yes Pelosi is given this seat and with her power set’s a role whom all women who seek to make a difference in their business should look up to. For some it is a power crave to reach the top, and because their focus is on something that can be taken just as easy as earned they lack the incentive to stay on top when given the opportunity. Nancy has not only made it easier for individuals to obtain health care but now works towards increasing international security. She is building a ladder for women to follow in focus, yes the work place might be dominated by the male species but is it power or change that a women hungers when she seeks the top?
