As a women who aims for a profession in the environment of male dominance my motivation factor is to bring the unexpected. Not only as a women, but an individual I bring something else to the table in my field. It is the opportunity I seek to prove myself and my women hood. In class, sports, even club meetings I always have a competitive drive to challenge the men and rise above their expectations, maybe it’s because the way society has placed us lower in the chain of success or expectations in general, my drive is to represent the women race. It is a pet peeve of mine to see women fall short and allow men to down grade them when they are better then what they perceive or give off in public. Voice is the only power women have now and to have some go or rise against their own kind only hurts the entire race, I want to be the voice that brings women to the light, to the top. What will this step take and will they be with me and those who are doing the same, when the time comes?
